I don't understand why people are so against a sport that is free of performance enhancing drugs. These guys are simply going out there and giving it everything they have on a daily basis. I have never been a Hockey fan before this year and I have come to realize that the sport is fast paced, physical and exciting to watch. I'm sick of seeing basketball all over the place. If I was a 6 foot 7 freak of nature, I would be good at basketball. I would dominate a basketball court. Hockey really takes guts and seems really tough to do. Its just that the masses are fed that they should like basketball, just like the masses are fed with cheesy music on MTV. Will people ever wake up and start living their own lives?

OK yes I am sick of seeing people moan about hockey. It's much more exciting since they changed the rules. It's much much better than watching baseball on TV. I bet the people who are complaining haven't watched any hockey games recently. Why attack hockey? Well, just don't watch it if you don't like it, and let the rest of us enjoy.
BTW, Chara is about 6'9" I think, and there are some other really tall young players coming up through the system.

Yes. Hockey is the greatest game on earth and deserves to be recognized. You haven't seen competition until you have seen the NHL playoffs and finals. I think most people don't understand the game and therefore it has little appeal to them. If people took the time to understand they would really enjoy it. Its as physical as football and graceful as basketball and fast paced like soccer. It is an amazing sport and deserves to be recognized.

Some people dont think hockey is a sport. I beg to differ. Because I play it and it takes just the same amount or more energy to play hockey as football or soccer.

Let each person have their opinion of different sports, as long as we can enjoy it, who cares if others don't. I hate soccer, but there are more soccer fans than hockey fans. So I don't criticize them.

i definatly agree with you. i hated it when they changed the station that the Devil's games were being shown. the old announceres knew the team well and knew the GAME. now a bigger station is showing the games and it pisses me of that these people DON'T KNOW ANYTHING ABOUT THE GAME at all. and they don't know the players. the regular announcer bettween perionds dosn't know how to say Elias. he says Eli- ash. how can you screw up a name as easy as Elias.
