I have the same problem. Vitamin E cream can help. You can get it from health food shops. It's supposed to be good for scars and stretch marks. Nothing will get rid of them but it can make them less noticeable. As time goes on, they will fade to silvery marks instead of the purple colour they are to start off with. I know they look horrible but stick in there. Wear higher cut jeans or a lower top if you're self conscious about them. Good luck. x

Silicone Sheeting, Mederma, and Microdermabrasion

Silicone sheeting

What it's good for: Raised scars and keloids (overgrown scar tissue)

How it works: Silicone sheeting is placed over a scar and surgically taped down. Dermatologists believe that the combination of the occlusive layer over the scar and the friction from the silicone sheeting actually reduces raised scars over time. And in fact, silicone sheeting can take weeks or months to work (and can make your scar itchy when you wear it).

Mederma ointment
What it's good for: Smaller scars and new stretch marks

How it works: Mederma uses an ingredient derived from onion skins to help treat scar height and discoloration. Its manufacturer claims it will soften hardened scar tissue, too. Mederma comes in a gel formula, so you can apply during the day and no one has to know. Visible results, however, can take awhile to show up.

Microdermabrasion
What it's good for: Raised and slightly pitted scars

How it works: Microdermabrasion uses tiny crystals to aggressively slough off the top layers of skin. By sloughing off enough skin, microdermabrasion can help even out differences in tissue, thereby smoothing out a raised scar or making a pitted scar less deep. If you have very sensitive skin, however, microdermabrasion may not be for you. The process naturally irritates the skin, which can cause further discoloration if you're particularly sensitive.

Well, i have stretch marks too, and I wear low cut jeans, not to show off my waist, but because I can't stand the higher jeans, they are not comfortable to me. I just wear longer shirts that cover my waist, and even if they do show, it's not that big of a deal. A lot of women have them. don't be so critical of yourself. Also, if it really bothers you, try mederma. it's at walmart and it's for stretch marks.

You can't "get rid" of stretch marks, but massaging Evening Primrose and Vitamin E cream into them will help to fade them.

I think that it is RIDICULOUS that some people have recommended surgery. How stupid!

There are a few oils that reduce scars/stretch marks and as mentioned before Palmers do a special oil, as do Bio-oil

try those they really worked for my friend, you have to keep at it for a while though.

I have done alot of research on this, and the only to get rid of stretch marks, is getting a tummy tuck.

A tummy tuck is the only way, or you could just not wear belly shirts, you can wear low waist cut jeans just wear a shirt that covers your belly.
