I have a male guinea pig reeses and he has nothing to do, he's bored and is so used to being bored so he doesnt do anything. I would like him to run around but I'm afraid he will go to the bathroom everywhere and my brothers are allergic. How would I train him to use a litter box?

what i did with my oldest guinea pig was let him out of the cage (with shavings as his bedding) at least once or twice a day. my brother is also allergic to furry animals but i keep my guinea pig away from him. i play with him for 5-10 minutes at first and then i put him back in his cage. when he's in his cage, he starts peeing and pooping. that way, he's kind of trained to only litter in his cage (or wherever there are shavings). now, i can take him out for 30minutes to an hour without actually doing some damage outside. good luck with yours! :)

Trainig a piggie to use a litter box is next to impossable. I've heard of people doing that, I've never been able to. Pet stores selll fence like pens you can put down on some towles. That's the best. If you let a piggie run loose in a room they will chew on electrical wires and every thing they find. Give your piggie lots of love and care.
