even though im 17 what can i do to work toward my goal to become a lawyer sooner?

There's not much you can do to speed up the process. When you go to college you can major in pre-law at some schools. Take as large a load of units as you can handle. That will get you out of college sooner. A JD program will take you three years pretty much anywhere, though.

Rather than trying to become a lawyer sooner, concentrate on becoming a better lawyer. The prestige of the law school you go to makes a huge difference in that industry. Try to get into the biggest named university you can. Then concentrate on getting really good grades. All A's if you can manage it. Be involved in stuff at school. Then, hopefully, you'll get into a prestigous law school like Harvard, or Yale.

While in law school, get on the law review. Try to go for prestigious internships. The big one is, of course, the Supreme Court. That's the best of the best.

I don't think you can do any of this faster, though.

go for graduation in law and get yourself registered with bar council and start practicing
