I am being offered a receptionist position for a well known company. How much should I make a year?

The answer will vary, depending on your geographic location. In a big city like New York where the cost of living is very high an entry level clerical position will pay substantially more than it will in an area where the cost of living is lower. Also, some receptionists only answer phones, and others have additional support duties. The real answer to this question is, can you afford to live off of what you will be making.

I agree with the first answer. I am also a receptionist and I make $10.00 living in Texas where the min. wage is beyond low!

I don't know about how much a year after taxes. But, you should start at 7.00 an hour at least, and if it's a big company who can afford it, and you perform your tasks well, you should get raises as often as is their standard policy. check with human resources to be sure.
