A few days ago I began receiving this error when trying to reach myyahoo although sometimes I get through OK. Any ideas what might cause it or what has changed in the last couple weeks? I've used yahoo as my homepage for years.

Possible browser-highjacker has got to your system, but could be other reasons too.
Try a (1)system file check and a (2) disk check.

1) Insert XP CD - cancel if autorun starts then click START - RUN - and type exactly the following:

sfc /scannow
When that is done, do this next:
2) Open windows explorer - locate the C: drive and r/clik on it - select Properties, Tools tab and in Error Checking panel click Check now. Tick both checkboxes and hit OK. Then select YES to the next msg and restart your PC. This will take a little while depending on the size of your hard drive.

I hate to be useless here, but I'm in the same boat. If anyone has a definitive answer, please email me. Edit: Okay I thought that it must have been one of the updates. I got both a Windows update and an iTunes update yesterday. I removed the Windows update, the site still aborted (whoops, hope I didn't need that). I removed the Apple Mobile Device Support, same thing. I removed the latest version of iTunes, which was updated yesterday and reinstalled it. Same problem. Screw Internet Explorer. I'm pissed.
