Apart from the Scots, the Irish are the friendliest, prettiest, sexiest, funniest and they're the best people on the planet to have a pint with! Cheers!

When some of my (Irish) relatives first came to the US, looking for work they encountered signs that said "Irish need not apply." So not everyone in the US has always loved the Irish. I'm sure people who live in London, England are not huge fans of the IRA.
There are many literary giants from Ireland. I don't think Irish Cuisine ranks up there with Italian or French cuisine. Irish people (after Saint Patrick converted the warlike Celts to Christianity)don't tend to invade other nations. I wish all Christians behaved that way! and have managed to remain neutral in the World Wars. It's been said of the Irish "All their wars are merry, and all their songs are sad."
When they die, all their friends throw a big party with food (after a suitably solemn funeral and burial, with bagpipes perhaps.)

I think the Irish are great people... like some of my relatives, for example. The main thing about the Irish is, nobody hates them so if you have a choice as to which passport you want to carry, then by all means, make it an Irish one.... but then I'm a bit biased since my middle name is Patrick.

I think the Irish are fabulous. Rich cultural history, with a mix of many cultures from around the world (assimilating vikings and other "foreigners" into their culture in early times) taking British as slaves for many years, evolving into Catholics over time from a long pagan history (and some freeing the English slaves) I would say a very adaptable people, brave and willing to take a risk. Proud and balanced. Great sense of humor. Okay, this was not easy to write, since my mother was English!

My Grandma and her parents came strait off the boat from Ireland. Every Irish person I ever meet was fun loveing and family oriented. And perhaps drank too much, but had fun non the less.
I love them all, Maybe some day I can go there...

The ones I've met have been cool, but I haven't met the entire race so it's hard to tell. I try to judge people instead of races. I do like Irish Whiskey though, that's good stuff!
