This spot was caused by the bottom of a ceramic soap dish so I'm not sure if it would be called a calcium deposit or not. Anyway it left a white circle on my counter top. Can you tell me how to fix it?

I would use vinegar, especially if it is a food preparation area. Chemicals could get into your food if you use a more caustic substance. You might try gently scraping it off with a plastic utensil, too.

Vinegar !! It absolutely works. It also removes hard water stains from your shower. It smells aweful. But that doesn't last very long. The smell will dissipate. It Is great for removing orders from just about anything !!!

Clorox Cleanup if you want to get them really clean and disinfect them or if you don't want to use bleach, try Mr. Clean Magic Eraser. I don't know how or what those things are made of but I have 4 kids and they are a MIRACLE.
