My XPSP2 is config to download micros update. Why do some get installed other I have to install myself thanks?

Some updates have to be downloaded seperately as the PC will need to reboot before any others can be installed.

Ask Bill Gates why!

Yeah the optional one usually for hardware, etc. But the one you got installed usually security update.

It only auto downloads critical updates all other updates are optionally obtained.

that is up to u ..go to auto update and chose the options u want !
