I have begun dating someone whose wife passed away and her name comes up in conversation. Between us it's fine to have her referred to as "my wife" but in public when he uses this people look at us as a couple of cheaters unless it is properly explained. Any suggestions?

I think the term late husband/wife, or deceased wife. These are the terms I use to describe my wife.

I think its great you let him talk about her. I have dated woman that didn't like me talking about her. The one equated to talking about an ex. She isn't my ex and she is the one I was to spend my life with. She is a large part of my life.

I hope if you continue to date him, you never ask him to wipe her out of his life. I dated a woman (on the first date I may add) tell me I need to take down all the pictures of my late wife because she felt that she needed to compete with her. I had three pictures in my home (a wedding picture in the living room, one of her in my bedroom, and one of us in the hallway).

Shannon - deceased spouse Gibbs - widower there replace into NO divorce that took place and you do no longer comprehend if there could've been one had Shannon lived. She died! there replace into no conscientious decision made to end their relationship - there replace into an explosion and not a suicide or homicide (except Gibbs created the explosion).
