Call the doctors office and they can probably tell you the proper dosage over the phone so long as you know the babies weight. Tylenol or Motrin i never knew motrin was so bad and i still don't believe it although i think i did give tylenol until they were older. sometimes they tell you to alternate the tylenol and motrin because both have different effects. Motrin last 2 hours longer than tylenol. You should call the docs office though to get the proper dosage.
Oh and taste that baby oragel and see if you really want to give that to your baby. It tastes awfull and will make them cry.

Technically no, because Motrin is approved for kids 6 months and up. The truth is that she probably would be fine (there's nothing magic about 6 months of age that makes it OK, it just hasn't been studied well.)
Tylenol would be fine. We do *sometimes* recommend Motrin for babies under 6 months of age, but only as a last resort. I would recommend you discuss it with the baby's doctor first. But Tylenol and something cool to chew on usually works also.

Yes it is, I was giving my daughter motrin at 4 months but not the full dosage. Only like half of what it says for 6 months

To relieve the soreness you are better off with baby anbesol or putting the teething toy in the freezer the cold will numb the area. You are better of with Tylenol rather than Motrin.

Tylenol is better for a baby than Motrin. However, you still need to call your doctor to find out the correct dose of Tylenol to give your baby

I wouldn't. Motrin has something in it that cannot be metabolized correctly through a baby's liver. Trust me. Was told this by my pediatrician after I told her I had given it to my son before a round of shots. It didn't hurt him thank goodness but better safe than sorry.

My doctor said give them nothing but children's Tylenol if you google lately there have been in some cases of children developing allergic reactions to Motrin so children's Tylenol liquid is best

Why would you risk your child's health by asking a question here and accepting advice from non-professionals when you eaily can call a nurse or a doctor ? There're health hotlines out there where trained persons will answer. Here anybody can claim to be a doctor.
