other than water, food and shelter, a human also needs love. Love is very important. Without a parent's love, a human feels abandoned. Without a friend's love, a human feels lonely. Without a true love, a human feels life is meaningless.

Basically, water, food and some type of shelter and protection from the elements. Next, and very importantly, a feeling of being a part of someone or something. As the poet said "no man is an island, entire unto himself." We all need to feel cared for, extraneous to merely feeling useful or being sexually desired. Of course, money helps, but it does not automatically lead to happiness or fulfillment.
