I think My Name is Earl is a refreshingly great comedy! I am not much for comedy shows, but this one is one that I never miss. I think it is such perfection with Jason Lee in the main role. I am not sure anyone else could have played it half as good as he does.
I think that it is very original, which is becoming so rare these days. I am so happy that it is getting good ratings. I have laughed many many times with each episode.
It was the first new show of last year to officially get picked up for a full season, and then once again the first to get picked up for a second season.
Season 2 should start around September or so. It also is moving times. It will now be on at 8pm instead of 9pm on Thursday nights. Also, watch for season 1 to come out on DVD on September 26th.
Some of the extra on the DVDs will include 8 episode commentaries, a Family Guy crossover remake of the episode "Bad Karma," bloopers, and deleted scenes.

It seems like it is well written b/c it has a theme from show to show (earl's list) but I haven't been able to get into it-the format is boring for me.

I didn't know what to expect when I saw the previews on TV, but the show is really funny.

I really like it, it's very witty & I the characters are brilliant.
Earl's brother Randy and his ex-wife Joy really made the show.
Oh and I love Crabman too!

I thought the show would be stupid, but I watched it a few times and it was funny.
