Space, nebula's other stars. The next closest star system is Alpha Cenauri. It is 4 light years from our solar system. It's a binary star system with no planets.

Wow. Well, we live on one planet circling a single star. In the Milky Way galaxy there are billions of stars, and most of them have planetary systems. But this is only a single galaxy. Galaxies occur in clusters of anywhere from tens to hundreds to thousands. Those clusters occur in superclusters. There are uncountable billions of galaxies in the universe. So what's out there? Everything.
