They're just trying to get attention. They suck.

They are very popular but have caused a stir for sometime because the lead singer natalie maines is outspoken against president bush and the war in Iraq. Lately that has garnered as much attention as their singing because their fan base is a patriotic one and its cause for some grief for them and turned some against them. But they have some good music like a remake of landslide by stevie nicks and also a song called wide open spaces which I happen to like.

They used to be really popular. Then they made a comment on the president and their popularity diminished. I think they are really overdoing the publicity now to get them back in high ranks with the fans.

Not any more, they've nose dived since they bashed Bush and the US in England. BAAAD move Dixie Chicks. Too bad they couldn't just stay entertainers, too bad they had to THINK they were soooo IMPORTANT that they had to spew liberal tripe.

I USED to like their music, but since they've decided that they are sooooo smart , I can't stand them.

They are just that controversial. They want to be country artists, but said that country fans are just backwards rednecks (not an exact quote but it was something like that). They did say something about how they were better than Toby Keith and, well, we see how that turned out don't we?
