not at all. im 15 and i'm waiting till i get married. it makes it so much more special if you save it for "the one". don't give into peer pressure, you can do it!!!

It's not dumb. But it is not practical if you are looking forward to a post-secondary education including graduate school and a career and you don't want to get married right away. There will come a point, sometime when you know you are an adult and the consideration of waiting til you are married to have sex will melt away as a thing of the past. If you plan on getting married right out of high school waiting will be easier, just keep in mind that marriages for people under age 20 are over 50% divorce rate whereas people over 30 have a 35% divorce rate. Just depends on how you want to chart out your life.

It's not dumb but it's not something I did either. If you're planning on it, please wait a little while. My fiance and I did, still do and we have 2 babies out of it. I personally think it's crazy to wait because if you're only with 1 person your whole life, you'll always wonder what else is out there. On the other hand, if you choose to have sex before marriage, you want to make sure that you're old enough just in case you get pregnant. I had sex the first time when I was 16. Luckily, he was sterile. I met my fiance at 17 and also was pregnant by him at 17. I was still able to finish school though. You don't want to sleep with just anyone either. I've been with one other person except for my fiance. The only reason I feel you shouldnt wait for sex til you're married is because you don't buy a car without test driving it first

Technically no, you are already having sex now anyway even before you are married so how is that dumb.
In this day and time we have sex all the time some that are in relationships and before they do walk down that eisle but no I don't think it is dumb as a matter of fact if you make sure that you are protected and you are with a guy you like this is the perfect opportunity to get to know him before you get married.
I know that is what happened to me with my husband and I am glad that I did because I got to know him and he became my very best friend and then we married and I have been with him for 18 years now.
So play it smart and if you want to wait that is up to you but if you are having sex just be careful :)

you're young please! it depends in the values in your family some parent tell their kids to wait till marriage others just don't talk about it but the only way to get away from it its to avoid those "moment" by yourself with a guy .tell me about it i let my self get to comfortable with a guy and end up pregnant at 14 now I'm 21 with two kids and happily married for almost 5 years that is i was lucky i met my husband when my baby was 6 month old so don't take any chance live your life the right way at your age just think that wherever you do will effect your future.my cousins boyfriend just wait for her to have sex and then dump her ,now her body change and she look ugly .she wishes she never had sex with this person she was 17 at the time.

Its not dumb to wait at all...its a very smart decision. Then you can grow up without having to face the consequences of sex, until you are married, and have a partner to share the responsibility.

No, of course its not dumb to wait until you're married to have sex. Im 15 and i wish that i would have waited because now i found someone that i truly care about and i feel dirty now because i wish i would have "saved" myself for him. Its a good idea to wait until your married because if you're thinking that you should now and then you decide that you dont want to wait then you will probably regret it.

It's not dumb for me.
Maybe because I was raised that way culturally. But if you're going to have sex, do it because you want to, not because someone asked you to, or because everyone else is doing it.
I always think that if a guy can wait till marriage, that means he respect me and not wanting me just for the sex part. I had a huge fight with my ex-boyfriend back then because of that.

wait til your Married, or don't the smartest thing you can do for yourself tho is wait til you are older, and stop thinking about sex @ the age of 15- you'll have crushes, you'll have dates, but DON'T waste your virginity on a HS crush. I can't even remember 1/2 of my HS crushes names!

no its not dumb its very healthy,,you too young to be thinking about sex,,i would say wait until you fall in love and get married !! so you wont be poping out babys anytime soon!! at 15
