AS long as you are not intending on getting back out of it what you are putting into financially. Although they may have a Toyota based engine all of the rest of the parts are bottom of the bin. You would be better off trading it in for a real corolla and putting the effort into making it cool for you. Drive this thing until the wheels fall off and consider yourself lucky. Put your money into something that you will get more enjoyment out of.

hell yes you should! The late model novas have toyota engines on them, those run for ever, i mean like 300 -400 thousand miles, and they get almost 40 miles per gallon, they are awsome little cars and they are really fun to customize because nobody expects a little nova to be really cool, and these people that say its to old its not worth it dont know what they are talking about, they older cars are built to run not to break down every six months

No. Why waste the money? It is old, not that great of a car by any standards.

if you are gonna throw money at something, at least make it something worthwhile, like a 71 nova ss... but to answer your question ...NO...an 88 is a throwaway car...made to wearout and be thrown away...don't be a garbage picker.
