As this question stands it is a simple matter of common sense, after fertilization of the egg when it becomes a zygote it is clearly living and unique. If you want tho know when it is self aware or independent then you have to look to the various definitions of those states.

The point at which an individual human becomes a living being is under debate. Many people believe it is at conception, some in the second trimester of its mother's pregnancy, and some, I can only assume, have other opinions. This is not a good question to be asking us to answer for you, especially considering the fact that it sounds like you're looking for someone to answer a homework question for you. The answer is based on opinion. When do YOU think an individual human becomes a human being? Unless there is an answer you are expected to give, this is a question left up to your conscience.

Do you mean living being as in self-aware? Or just an alive cluster of cells?
Self awareness doesn't happen until after the child is born. Until then the bran is so undeveloped the human is just reacting to basic stimulus, the way a bug flies towards light and away from predators.

I suspect this question is going to get a flood of answers from people who have a personal point to make on the pro/anti abortion argument...maybe thats the whole idea behind asking it!
But it seems obvious to me that an individual human can ONLY be classified as an INDIVIDUAL living being when he or she no longer relies on anyone else to exist..namely at the point of birth.

Well.. in terms of a physically complete... a human fetus has all physiologically necessary organs and systems present at around 12 weeks from fertilization... this means that at that point it is a fully functional organism and all that is essentially being done after that is growth.

Life in and of itself begins at conception... the same way life begins as soon as the seed of a tree sprouts. As soon as cells as multiplying, that's life.
however, your question is backwards. It's not when does a human become a living being, it's when does a living being become human (you are a living being BEFORE you're human). A zygote IS NOT a human but it is a living being.

I think that you are considered a Human being in the 2nd trimester of the fetus because at this point you have developed most of all your organs and components that make you human and no longer just a cell.

Sorry, I just have an opinion. I think living being starts as soon as conception. No matter what cite you look at.

I think that in the 3th week after conception because at that moment the neurulation has already finished so the fetus can totally feel everything, like pain or happiness

Once a cell takes on its identity, it is what it is identified as. If you recognize cells as cardiac tissue, then it is in fact tissue from a heart and you must treat it accordingly. If you know you are dealing with human tissue, then it is in fact from a human. At that point, all the rights given to any human apply to that tissue.
