Picnic Help?

Question

What is the best time to have a picnic?
What do you bring? I know food but be more specific.. what kind of food...
And if I don't have one of those cute baskets how are we going to carry it?
Any other fun things we can do on the picnic?

The best time to have one would probaly be early summer, late spring. Not in the middle of the day, but early morning or late afternoon. Bring patato salad, chips, a bottle of wine, friut salad, some bread, sandwich meat, some cheese. (if you want sandwich's) water, a few sodas. Go out to wal~mart, and buy one of the little $5~$10 dollar baskets, the ones with the blanket, cups, silverware, plates and napkins are already in. Bring say a ball and play ball, or a frizbee that's always fun. Or if your going in late afternoon, bring a portable DVD player if you have one and watch a movie.

Depends on your weather for time to start a pic-nic...to early is usually alittle wet and cool...after 11am is prefered, but don't forget your not the only one with pic nic in mind, so getting there earlier to get a spot may be necessary...If your at a park that allows BBQ grills, cooking hot dogs, hamburgers is the norm for kids or Chicken and/or steaks for the adults, ice chest of water and/or favorite drink...table cloth, or if you have a Costco Store, they offer a great pic-nic basket with plates, cups, utensils, table cloth all in its own basket...you'll need adequate lawn chairs, a good blanket or two..and perhaps a radio to get the festive mood rollin along...if your into board games(Scrabble/ Yahtzee) or toss a football around can get those in attendance having fun together..good luck, hope it helped.
