Test your pool water after the rain, you will probably have to add more shock if you get a lot of rain. Best to check water sample first before adding.

First of all the air borne contaminants washed into the pool by the rain will "gobble up" the chlorine. Shock to correct this. Secondly, if the rain is heavy enough it can dilute alkalinity, thereby changing the pH. Check and adjust those, also. Then just wait out the rain. You will find quite a lot of silt in the bottom. Washed in by the rain.

Your swimming pool will surely get over flowed and full of bacterias.I think you will have to change the water in it cause just cleaning it might not help.You might get infections later on.Why don't you cover it with plastic sheets if you can .

Unless it is over three inches of rain, it will not effect the ph levels enough to have to adjust the chlorine. Have a great day.

rain water is dirty, it changing the chemicalls in your pool, becuase a water partical can only fall once its around a dirt partical and onces it falls there we have rain, so i'd cover it, plus like some other people said, your pool might over flow
