Please give me some ideas for birthday gifts for my husband. We've been married almost a year and have known each other 3 years. I always try to be creative with him but it is hard because he doesn't like to receive gifts. He just likes giving them! He also doesn't like jewelry of any kind. I want to give him something sentimental, but something he will really love.

My hubby is a homebody - he doesn't like sports, he doesn't like really have a lot of hobbies other then spending time with me and his family. He is very hard working and when the day is done he just loves coming home. That's one of the many reasons I love him - he is so simple, so uncomplicated. :)

Maybe give him something that used to be your dad's or grandpa's. Something that can carry on your familys tradition. Could be a golf club, or a fishing pole, anything that makes you remember your dad or g-pa. Good luck

My idea would be to arrange an intimate dinner for you two and then after dinner as an extra special gift you can either make him a scrap book of his 40 years of life and present it to him. Im sure you can get plenty of photos from friends and family etc or you could turn those photos into a slide show if you have the equipment to do so. He won't ever forget something like that. Plus you could give a running commentary over each slide or in the scrap book you write a funny caption under each picture. Just remember, whatever you do, as long as you are there, I'm sure he'll have a fantastic time :) I'm even gonna use my own idea for my partner's 40th, but I got 10 years yet! Let us all know what you decide to do so that it will give the rest of us some inspiration :)

Well that is it then just spend time with him. Cook him a nice birthday dinner with candles and give him a nice body massage. Give him yourself in the bedroom with some new posistion or idea. Buy him a nice card and a gift card for his fav store so he can pick out what he wants and buy it himself. Take him out to dinner and his favorite resturant and go to a movie with him!

The best gift for a man is to feel like a king. Plan a day where you just do all of the things he love. It may be cooking a good meal or wearing sexy panties while you clean up.

Give him a memory, or an experience. Some people dont like gifts, but they enjoy learning or experiencing new things. Take him to a new place for dinner, buy him a ride on a glider, let him run a locomotive, he will never forget the experience and never forget who gave it to him

Does he enjoy sporting events or concerts? I always enjoy tickets to an event, ballgame, concert...
(by the way, I'm the same way, I'd rather give her a gift then receive one)

Take him to a nice hotel / motel for the weekend and YOU be his present. You can wrap yourself up in a sexy negligee with a nice ribbon. Do whatever he wants. Make your honeymoon look like a Sunday picnic at the church. He will remember it forever!!!

~If he doesn't like gifts, maybe do something instead... like make a candlelit dinner and surprise him... or get him 2 tickets (for you and him) to a baseball game or something.~
