It has been over 9 weeks since I gave birth and I still have not started my period. I attempted breast feeding for about a week and then quickly dried up. My husband and I have only had sex once, a little over the 6 week mark. I am freaking out that I may be pregnant???

You can always go to a doctor to get tested, but when it first comes back is all up to your body. Some women don't get their cycle for a year after they have a baby, even if they aren't breast feeding. If there is a risk though of pregnancy, talk to your doctor. My friend was 9 months before getting her cycle, and she was way past breast feeding. Good luck! :)

That is very possible..breast feeding does slow down or postpone your periods..I would get pregnancy test and also contact your doctor you should have gone back for a check up around 6 weeks after giving birth to talk about birth control so that you don't have another pregnancy right away.

well from experience after i had my second baby i had sex once and got pregnant that time so you need to test your self now. I waited until my milk came in about 5 months before i found out because i had never had a regular period before so you are probably pregnant but don't worry if you are the kids can grow up together. mine are 10 months apart. good luck!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Well I just had a baby and I got my period exactly 30 days after I had her. I think mabey a trip to the doc would be a good idea, but dont worry everyone is different and it just might be that your body isnt ready to start the cycle yet.
