Your doctor gave you pills after only missing your cycle by four weeks? Talk to him again if you can. Most women will miss the occasional menstration due to many different reasons. Sleep changes, climate or seasonal changes, air travel, sickness, and the lists go on, and you might not even know why you missed it. It is generally said by doctors that it's alright to miss the occasional menstration by 8 weeks, after that, then doctors can do some testing and examinations to make sure that nothing else may be going wrong. I'd wait it out one more month, and see if it will return to you on your own. But make sure you try to relax, being worried will only hault the coming of your cycle. Good luck. :) If you suspect pregnancy, your doctor can get you tested very easily.

You're a teenager, or a very young adult. I hate the fact that theyre trying to induce your hormonal cycle with chemicals. It always screws things up. Just like the synthetic hormones in birth control.
When you're so young, even into your 20's, its common to skip a period. Stress, poor diet, poor or too much exercise, a lot of things effect your body's hormones and can cause you to skip.
I lost 20 pounds and got sick and then got well and became obsessive about exercise, and over the course of a year i had 2 periods. That was when i was 17. but after i mellowed out it came back as regular as ever.
even at 22 i have skipped for no known reason. But iam still fertile (obviously, iam pregnant now) still cycle on a 38 day cycle....
A womans body is a delicate balance. It regulates itself, renews itself, resets itself. Meddling in it with medications and synthetic chemicals can cause so much more of a problem. It bothers me that doctors are always so willing to medicate anything and everything just for the sake of meeting some predetermined norm. Every body is different, and unless there is just cause to assume infection, cancerous growth or disease theres really no reason to mess with it.
Women just dont cycle like the tide. Sometimes its a hit or miss thing.

Don't freak out..if you haven't gotten your periods yet then get a second opinion or just go back to the doctor who gave you the medications to start your period..there has to be some type of hormone problem that is causing this..be greatful right now because you will be back to normal once you get your period again...

You might need to take a blood test, since at home pregnancy tests aren't always accurate. While you took 4 of them, your body might be producing less of the hormone then you need for the test to show up positively.

You might just be irregular. A lot of women are. It just means that your flow is not on a regular schedule. It might skip a couple of months or come twice in one month. Make sure you keep in touch with your doctor or go see a gynocologist! Good Luck!
