I can speak for the following China cities.
Guilin, China.
Guangzhou, China
Changsha, China
At McDonald's at breakfast, lunch, and dinner, there are no seats and if you want a seat, you must sit outside and wait. Also, the floor space is larger and two floors. I have been to McDonald's in California, New York, and Dallas; none are close to the size of these Chinese McDonald's. Even the biggest McDonald's I ever visited in California was 45% the size of the Chinese version. So as not to wait, I will go to a Chinese restaurant.

foriegn food in other countries is usually much different than what it really is. They may want what they call western food but it's not western food. Depends how far apart the cultures are too.
