Fifa (Fedaration of international Football Associations) is run by Sepp Blatter and the whole organisation reminds of the current poltical situation in the US.
It has immense power over what it oversees, has a ridiculous puppet-head who makes a fool of himself with his satements, introduces more compartmentalisition and beauracracy where it is not needed, is fundamentally corrupt in its business practices but is too well respected (mainly through clever marketing and pure propaganda) for real criticism to stick for too long.

The bottom line, in regards to FIFA at least, is that it no longer oversees the sport of football (as it should be doing) but it oversees the business of football instead. As long as it's 'partners' keep making money the beautiful game can take a back seat as far as they are concerned. The best example of this is the fines being handed out for the World Cup. A fine for pulling a shirt but not one for diving, when almost everyone involved in the sport or watching will agree that diving is by far the greater concern to the credibility of the game. Makes you wonder whether FIFA came up with the idea or the kit manufactures and sponsors who are more concerned how thier wares are portrayed.

The main organization of the FIFA is the FIFA Congress, which meets annually and each national association has one vote, regardless of its size or footballing strength. The Congress makes decisions relating to FIFA’s governing statutes and the method by which they are implemented and applied. It also approves the annual report, decides on the acceptance of new national associations and holds elections, most notably for the FIFA presidency.

FIFA is run by a international governing body, directed by a executive Commitee, whose principals member are:
President (eighth FIFA President): BLATTER Joseph S. Switzerland
Senior Vice President: GRONDONA Julio H. Argentina
Vice-Presidents
WILL David H. Scotland
JOHANSSON Lennart Sweden
HAYATOU Issa Cameroon
CHUNG Mong Joon Korea Republic
WARNER Jack A. Trinidad and Tobago
VILLAR LLONA Angel Maria Spain

There are aso others commitees and Judicial Bodies.

FIFA is the international foundation of soccer, all national soccer associations are members of the foundation.

Many countries are blamed of cheating. If there would be evidence, FIFA quickly would take some action.
