How do we enter mathematical symbols such as square root, cube root using key board? How to type subscripts and superscripts? How to type special symbols like integration, summation?

U can use character map.

If you're using Windows XP, you could use the character map (usually found at Start -> All Programs -> Accessories -> System Tools -> Character Map).

There then, you can just select the one you want click on it once, and then you would see in the lower right corner a code combination for what you'd have to press on your keyboard to get the Ascii code inserted.

For Example, to get ³ I just hold down the ALT key while typing in the number 0179... = ALT+0179 makes ³ and so on...

you will have to install the fonts for mathematical symbols and then can enter mathematical symbols such as square root, cube root using key board.

Few symbole are available on the ASCII code - but if you have Microsoft Word, there are "special symbols" available.

And there is special math software to produce complete equations with everything, viewable and printable.

Ask a good software distribution company in your country or a university student's shop - they'll know.

Press Shift and whatever number you are looking for that symbol. You have to hold the Shift Key down and press the number at the same time.

well you can't type... in Emails or here in yahoo answers so Copy paste is only way (where as my knowledge... knows) so copy paste it from somewhere... like sites and Msword is perfect place for that
