White distilled vinegar is like a little bottled miracle (and it's cheap and friendly to the environment). I use it for a fabric softner (just fill up a downy ball and toss in with clothes), a counter top cleaner, and I mop my ceramic tile floors with it (1 cup per bucket of hot water).
If you have nasty ordors, bring 1 cup of vinegar to a boil and let it set in the room that needs the most help until cool. Dump it down any drain that might be a little sluggish (it dissolves grease)

I use a mixture of vinegar and baking soda to clean the inside of my electric kettle. Pour some vinegar (about a half a cup), add enough water to cover the element inside and then add a tablespoon of baking soda. The soda reacts with the vinegar and the fizzing action cleans the scaly stuff off the element.

Straight vinegar is also good for cleaning windows and mirrors. I've done this in the past and it does work.

apple cider vinegar is excellent for an upset stomach. Try a tablespoon for indigestion. It tastes o.k.,like a salad and it really works fast. Drink some water after to washout the vinegar from your teeth, asa too much vinegar dissolves the calcium from teeth. However one table spoon or two if needed is o.k. This is an old wife's thing that really works.
