my pictures on put in display properties in desktop background are gone i want to put them back please tell me how.

Simply copy the images to your C:\WINDOWS directory and they will appear in your background settings... Then you can rightclick on your desktop and go to Properties. Then to the 'Desktop' tab, and select the image in the "Background" pane. From there, you can also click "Browse" and manually navigate to the file that you want as your background image.

There are lots of simple answers but a better solution is to download Picassa from the google website

Once you have it installed it will catalog all of your pictures by date and folder. You can then click on any picture and uder create make it your desktop screensaver or a slideshow if you pick several pics
