you cannot mistake me for the average american. dear god. I would do anything to get out of here. of course the red cards were deserved. just about everything else sucked.

All of the three red cards were deserved. But, the ref did screw up with all of the incorrect offsides called against Italy, and with the foul on Iaquinta. The offside goal he called on Gattuso wasn't offside, Toni was in line with the defender.

Actually I believe the ref did a great job. The red cards were well deserved, so FIFA should defend them. The US did a decent job against Italy, considering Italy is one of the "big" teams, alongside Brazil, Germany and Argentina

None of the referees are "idiots", they wouldn't be chosen to ref the world cup games if they were. Too many people are complaining, because there team got two players sent off. There are already like 10 questions on this exact same subject.

I find that the US deserved the red cards, but the refs were still totally out of line with their fouls, etc.

the american commentators had noooooooooo clue what they were talking about
those were OBVIOUS red cards for the us players
ask any true soccer fan, not the us wannabe's

the american players deserved the red cards just as much as de rossi did.
