I'm a big fan of The Shawshank Redemption...no further description necessary, just a great movie. And an oldie but super goodie entitled The Best Years of Our Lives, a movie about GI's returning from WWII and the issues they have to face. One has become an alcoholic, one had both hands blown off in an accident and the other comes back to a faithless wife and dead-end job. GREAT, GREAT movie.

Chariots of Fire
Jesus of Nazareth
The Passion

I disagree with Carlito Sway on Shawshank because it put down Christians. On the other hand, I very much agree with her pick of The Best Years of Our Lives. A great movie to watch during Memorial Day and Veteran's Day. Good pick Carlito!

The Passion of the Christ, there is no movie that has ever made me cry as much or changed so many peoples view on religion and god. It was a great movie. Inspirational

I also really liked Shawshank Redemption. I wish I could live its motto more fully: "Get busy living, or get busy dying." It has stuck with me since I saw the film.

And if I may add a note to Carlito Sway's comments about "The Best Years of our Lives," the actor who played the soldier whose hands were blown off was really an actor who had his hands blown off in WWII. Talk about inspirational!

in my opinion the most meaningful movie is (the lord of the rings) its too long movie....
but if you watch it you'll discover that by yourself, and that by thinking of our world right now and how people are treating each-other....
if you don't know it I advise you to do...
