Chennel 4 website offers some for free download usually older episodes, however most will cost you £. The BBC also offers certain programs for viewing such as Lager & Packet of Crisps.
I imagine with a bit of searching ;-) you can find others but these are unlikely to be legal!
Note: p2p is not a legal way to download tv shows....

limewire and bearshare are i'm sad to say only legal if you own the copyright to the files you are uploading (making available to everyone else) so technically you arebreaking the law if you use one of these sites to download tv shows or other known media files.
but as others have mentioned you can watch streaming media files from the tv companies website in some cases. although it must be pointed out that to record or distribute the streamed files is illegal so wactch your back. as ther may be legal actiion around the corner if you fail to watch the shows legally. oh and remember that even for streamed TV shows you need a TV licence here in the UK. sad but true.
any device capable of watching a TV program is sad to say subject to the TV licence that includes your home PC now with a TV tuner card and i think you are now required to have a licence if you do watch TV on your pc via live streams.

Go to the various network's websites. Most of them are not downloadable legally, but you can watch the episodes on line.

I use Limewire. I'm not sure if it is legal or not, but they have a lot of TV episodes. To download it (its free), go to www.limewire.com/

Dowloading songs, tv shows and movies from Limewire is illegal and if caught could get you into serious trouble.
