No it's not necessary, but there is some clinical evidence that it may help. When a women has an orgasm, the opening of the cervixs dips downward towards the back of the vagina where sperm is deposited. This brings the opening even closer to the sperm. Besides, it's more enjoyable for the woman if she can have an orgasm!

Nope. In fact my friend was a virgin and she got pregnant. As long as the sperm comes in contact with the fluid from the vaginal area, it will travel.
