Of course. I'm not sure why someone wouldn't try to get it and use it. The good news is there is and always has been alternate fuel choices, they just don't make the big bucks for government or the oil companies so they have not been brought to our attention. Unfortunately due to living in a world that revolves and breathes money it is very expensive at the moment to convert your car to these other fuel choices. So they have us by the oil so to speak as most of us can't afford to convert our engines and the cars offered on the market at this moment that do offer an alternate source such as the hybrid, half electric and half oil fuel still run mainly off of the oil based fuel. Until they can talk us into paying the same amount for corn fuel or even fuel made from water we will be depending on oil and electric to run our inefficient vehicles.

Sure, provided the alt fuel was better(env. friendly, cost effective, easier to access, supply able to meet demand) than current fuels.
