These yankees are so selfcentered that they assume that the entire worldpopulation knows their number by heart, but unfortunately the world is bigger then the US, believe it or not.

If you are seeking help from Americans, the best way certainly isn't by insulting us.

I've never called the US from outside of the country, so I'm not very informed as to a country number to use. I found a website that may be useful, though.

http://www.loc.gov/marc/countries/cou_home.html

It lists the MARC code list for countries. I hope this helps with your search.. and please try to be more courteous when asking for help.

To phone to the US or Canada from the rest of the world, choose the +1

So the country code is "1" same as the "44" for the UK or "49" for Germany. To get an international connection, many countries expect a double-zero in replacement of the "+" - so it would be 001 and then your 10digit US number.

The US country code is 1.
Self-centered or not, it's easy to remember :)

So, you'd dial +1 xxx xxx xxxx (where x is the phone number you have, of course).

We may be self-centered but we have the bomb so quit crying. The country code here is 01.
