Why is it that people who are fair skin in India are considered beautiful even if they are short and ugly?

Indians please dont give false answer over here that its not cause ..i've seen it and it true.

That's a beautiful question!!Well, i'm murky, but still live a life full of stupid boyish compliments.whatever you said is true anyway, and thats because most of the people here are dark, so anyone fair IS beautiful.

Because it goes back to the Aryan invasions that wracked India hundreds of years ago which forced the Dravidians (The dark-skinned) inhabitants into abject misery and then when the English came, they of course with their superior racist attitudes prefered the lighter skinned Aryans (Many of whom came from the so-called martial races;ie: people mostly from the NW frontier who were of course Aryan) over the darker skinned Indians who wre considerd lazy, and unfit for almost anything.
Plus the fact that during the Sepoy rebellion, the majority of those rebeled against Britisn control were from the south below the Ganges Plain were the darker skinned Dravidians.
I have often seen lighter skinned Indians in Trinidad treat their darker-hued brethren that way also and my wife experienced said treatment also.So when a short and ugly fair skinned Indian gets preferential treatment, you'll know why.

Well in my opinion, fair Indians have the best colour in the world. It looks great. But that doesn't mean that other colours are bad. If you love yourself, colour is never a problem.

oh common thatz not true. thatz a misconception in india coz everyone is attracted towards fairer skin .
