The second goal by Maradona - Argentina v's England 1986. Forget the Hand of God......that was purely a cheaters goal, but his second was the best in the world to date.

The second Argentina goal the other day.
Depends what you mean - the youngest to ever play in a world cup match is the Togo player Souleymane Mamam who played in qualifier v Zambia aged 13. In terms of final stages, Norman Whiteside is the youngest ever to have played in a final stage match, though Theo Walcott will break that record if picked to play.
No one 'will' win the Golden Boot in 1986, as Gary Lineker already did (in 1986)
Tequila - the two factual answers you give are both wrong - Fabgregas may be only 17, but he is older than the 17 yrs 41 days that Whiteside was aged when he played for N Ireland in Spain 1982.
1986 Golden Boot, Linekar 6 goals, Dago Almond Madonna 5 (of which only 4 were legal).
Uniao - sorry, mistyped - Mamam is from Togo, not Tonga (amended above), though remains the youngest player to appear in any World Cup match 2001 v Zambia...

One of the best goals scored in World Cups was Saïd Al-Owairan's in the match against Belgium, which Saudi Arabia won 1-0. He got the ball well inside his team's midfield, dribbled past 5 Belgian defenders and lifted the ball past Belgian goalkeep er Michel Preud'homme.
There is another goal I enjoyed pretty much, but was in a World Cup Qualifying match, Portugal v Czechoslovakia in 1965 (for the 1966 World Cup). It was similar to Al-Owairan's, but Eusébio passed the ball between the legs of the final Czech defender and scored from a very tight angle. In fact, his shot was so strong the ball still bounced back after hitting the net and re-entered the field.

The youngest World Cup player is Norman Whiteside, he was 17 years 41 days old when he played for Northern Ireland against Yugoslavia on June 17th 1982.

With 6 goals (a hatttrick against Poland, two against Paraguay and one against Argentina) Gary Lineker was the top scorer of the 1986 Tournament.

PS - I see it now, eriverpipe. I've changed my answer as well.

1- Second goal by Diego (Argentina v. England, 1986). The one after God's hand.

2- Pele was 17 when he played for Brazil for the first time. Also Cesc (Spain) is 17.

3- Diego Maradona.

Aguante Diego!!!

Some scientists studied it and decided one of Brazil's goals in the 1970 WC finals is officially the best ever World Cup goal. (about 6 players involved in the buiuld up and an incredible finish, I forget by who!). Apparently Maradona's second in '86 was second (although for me no-one really challenged him.)

Gary Lineker did win the golden boot in 1986.

The best goal was Esteban Cambiasso's goal against Serbia & Montenegro last week (Argentina's 2nd goal). The passes were brilliant and the finish was perfect.
