The above are all intresting answers....

i think you better of ignoring most of them...the engine is more or less bomb proof in its current form so chnaging interals is just a waste of time and money... as for turbo depending on how you set it up coudl in fact not give you any befit over the 1/4 mile run as the turbo needs time to spool up and provide full boost...also with out addressing how you will get the increased power to the track you may fid times are worse or no better... if you really looking at improving those 1/4 miles times id first take out as much weight as posible, get slick tyres on the front super sticky ones to get the traction down...Limited slip Diff again to aid traction... then to increase the power id add a supercharger on to the engine this is belt driven not gas driven like a turbo is so will provide boost pressure from the word go!

In a standard form you shoudl be running 15's super charged you can take about 2 secs off that time

the Civic can be tuned up in many ways and the performance will be very good. get an intercooler, intakes, full exaust, port polish, there is an enless list of things you can do to beef up its performance. you can check your local tuning shop and ask them about tuning options and pricing. I would say it is going to cost a few grand to do these things.
