Before you find your first top, try things to learn to relax your anal muscles and see if you enjoy the sensation -- some don't. Start with fingering and lots of lube to loosen yourself. Work more fingers in, concentrating on relaxing.
When you've learned to do that, work up to sex toys so that you can discover the sensations and get more penetration.
Then, find an experienced top. Let him know that you're used to topping, but want to bottom for the first time. It will feel completely different, but you will have gained the skills to use.
And be safe.

you may be disappointed based on looks. Butchest guy I know is a bottom. He was a top, but said he was tired of doing all the work.
