All revolutions from monarchy to "democracy", and the Industrial Revolution.
Overthrowing monarchy's because the democracies weren't/aren't much better, and only introduced more disorder, and more opportunities for corruption than ever.
The Industrial Revolution because it made people wage slaves, and instead of people working the land, everyone basically became a drone trained to perform one tiny slice of a task. Also, people are kept so perpetually busy that they are distracted from religion and other institutions that would maintain morals and ethics.
The decrease in self-reliance and sustainability, along with the degradation of morals and ethics, has been the greater part of the downfall of Western Society.

First there replaced into the Roman Empire, around the 12 months 35BC, which engulfed all of western Europe and northerly Africa. Then got here Jesus Christ. His Apostles spread His Message, Then around the 12 months 312 ad Constantine the great: as sole ruler of the Roman Empire made a Decree of Milan and positioned all the Catholic Christians as voters of Rome. It grew to develop into the known faith, by ability of the State. because that, then, all of Europe and northerly Africa the Catholic Church had an excellent progression and impression in the Western subculture

Has Western Civilization fallen while I wasn't looking? I rather think the 4 movements you mentioned were achievements of Western Civilization: hope and redemption, arts and sciences, exploration and budding democracy in order. I believe the downfall of WC is complacency and wealth. We are currently letting the overachievers in Eastern and Southern economies outeducate and outperform us.
