The"mosquito repeller" emits a high frequency noise
that mimics the male mosquito
thus repelling the female mosquito.*
But are you talk about this:
A device called the Mosquito emits a high-frequency sound meant to drive youthful troublemakers away.

If things sound to good to be true they usually are. Your best defense is to make sure that you don't have any standing water around your house where mosquitoes can breed and use a repellent with deet in it. Spray your clothes as well as exposed skin.

Doubtfully. The best repellent is anything with DEET (Deep Woods Off etc.) The "Skeeter Vac" is gaining in popularity too. It uses propane to emit carbon dioxide, and heat to attract the mosquitos and other small flying insects. Then it sucks them in!!

No
The only effective mosquito repellent is something with DEET in it.
