Dandruff is usually cause by dryness of the scalp. Sometimes there are other diseases that could cause dandruff, especially if one of its symptons is fever. So if you are sick the doctor will help. If you are not ill, you should moisturize your scalp daily and wash the hair thoroughly at least once a week. Condition the hair each time you wash. There are also shampoos like head and Shoulders that help Once you get rid of the dandruff, you should use a regular shampoo, preferably herbal (some of the other shamnpoos can cause dry scalp too so be careful) and remember to moisturise. You use more moisturisers in the summer or if you are anywhere where it is hot. Drink your eight glasses of water a day because cleaning from the inside out is always a good thing.

Using an anti-fungal shampoo can help cure dandruff. Head & Shoulders has a good reputation for anti-dandruff shampoos.
Dandruff is a chronic scalp condition characterized by excessive flaking and is also associated with itching and redness
Dandruff is believed to be caused by Malassezia, a naturally occurring fungus found on the scalp that causes large clumps of hundreds or even thousands of skin cells to shed from the surface of the scalp in what are commonly known as "flakes."
Other factors such as climate, stress, hormone production, excessively oily skin and dietary influences are all thought to affect the likelihood of dandruff appearing

Add about a 1/4 shot of Tea tree oil to a bottle of Head and Shoulders shampoo. Comb thru while shampooing. A life-long problem was solved this way. In tough cases, use this one-time pre-treat. mix water and Tea tree b4 shampooing, spray on till wet, then comb, wait till dry then wash. This will definitely work.

Paul Mitchell carries a dandruff shampoo and people used to love it when they would buy it in the salon that I used to work in. They swore by it. It may be worth a try.

selson blue does well. but dandruff is caused by a bacteria if you have it severly. if its just little flakes, its the cause from heat, sweating, or not washing all the shampoo out well. just be careful the next time you go in the shower. it helps.

T-Gel worked for me. It's brilliant. Should see dramatic improvement in about 4 to 5 washes - or a week
Head and Shoulders was useless - it made my hair lifeless!
