Absolutly, but a few conditions are necessary. If you think about aerobic excerise on land, you must raise your heart rate and your body must need to cool down. This is what provokes you to sweat. If you are swimming vigorously, and raise your heart rate, this is meeting one of the conditions. however, if you are in a pool that is very cool, or lower than your body temperature, there is no need to sweat, as the pool is cooling you down. So in theory, it is possible, but not everyone wants to do laps in a hot tub!

Sweating is for the purpose of cooling down your body. When you're swimming in cold water, the water itself is cooling you down, so there's no need. If you're sitting in a jacuzzi, it's very possible to sweat. Your body needs to cool itself!

Of course...you just don't feel it like you would with other sports because the water washes it away. When you get out of the pool after a good workout you will break out in a sweat.

I don't think so, because of osmosis. Water goes from an area of high concentration to one of low concentration. Usually this is from your body to the air, as the air has less water than your body does. This is why you feel hotter in humid weather, if there is more water in the atmosphere it's harder for your body to get rid of water by sweating. Therefore if you're IN water you can't sweat, because there's more water in the pool than in your body.
I think.

"yes, you can sweat while swimming -- if you get warm enough. You sweat whenever your internal body temperature starts to rise above normal,"

Oh sure it is amazingly conceivable.anybody sweats at the same time as swimming and extremely plenty so.And it is not that disgusting, because of the fact the water is so chlorinated, its easily kinda clean and it is not appropriate.
