Not on a mass scale but selective deweeding i guess like tying a WMD to bushes a r s e would be an act of kindness to humanity!
I am not greatly fond of Islam... but hey do them justice... read Quran in the right context. The verses that do promote war are actually intended against those who persecute others and not everybody in general. You have to look at Muhammad's life and see what he was faced with and under what circumstances he undertook war.
By and large it discourages killing of any kind. In-fact the Prophet tolerated persecution for more than fifteen years before he gave permission for first skirmish and when he was victorious he did not avenge his earlier persecution but gave general amnesty in Makkah.
It is evident that some Muslim lunatics are using these verses out of context to justify their terrorism... the same way Bush claims to be divinely inspired to kill people (mostly civilians) in Middle East and Afghanistan.

*sighs* no, the Koran does not promote killing of any muslims. If you read into it and interpret it to much, then yes it does, in the same wy the Crusaders went a bit mad and slaughtered the muslim world. Do we really need more inflammatory rubbish like this?

Well if you take what it says literally then yes, it does.
It is talking about Jihad or something, the sacred war, and Muslims that are strong believers say that they will have to kill everyone who is a non Muslim. A friend of mine got this "threat" from his flatmate who became a brainwashed Muslim gradually and he meant it, that when Jihad comes he would have to kill him.
Thats why I think relegions are c.r.a.p... if you want to believe in something believe...dont join a freakin party...

you're forgeting the international is not merely Jews, Christians and Muslims! Your e book makes no concession for all people outside of those words except for death. Your holy textual content makes allowances for the Jews and Christians, because you percentage their prophets out aspect of that. Islam tolerates no human being.
