Being Irish i hope not!! but being serious going into the world cup i did have England as 1 of my favouriates to win it however after watching their games so far i havnt been inspired at all , I think that there multi talanted squad will come undone for one reason and 1 reason only Sven Erikssons is a poor manager and his tatical knowledge is limited to basic schoolboy tatics, i feel that with the new manager coming in they would be the favouriate to win Euro 2008

After seeing Epl ,I was all for england and then I saw England vs Trinidad. Now I will say no way.
Can someone explain why is gerard a defensive midfielder and not an attacking midfielder.
Why was owen substituted when he had almost scored a few seconds back.
Why was lampard retained inspite of the fact he was having a horrible day.
In short, so long Erikkson reigns they hahve no chance.

Not unless they practice penalty kicks, which one of their knockout games will inevitably finish in.
A team that doesn't give up many goals but can't score many themselves (Italy ring a bell too?) will always face the crapshoot of PKs at big tourneys like this.
