I'am a male and I have never done modeling before, what is the best way to get started?

But how do you contact these agents and what do they expect you to do if you have never modeled before? should i get my friends to take some photos of me and send them to agencies?

The first thing you need to do is go to a photography place that takes good pictures and get headshots done. Then keep a photo portfolio so when you go to modeling agencies you will have the tools that you need to attempt to start your modeling career. This career choice can be gruelling so be prepared. And always remember when one door closes another will open. Keep your head up and never give up. Many agencies look for different things so when one tells you that you won't do they next may tell you that you are what they are looking for. So if you have your heart set on doing this NEVER give up.

The first thing you got to do is to contact one of the modeling agencies in your locale. You need these people to act as your agent ,and get you jobs. Modeling is a dog eat dog business. There are plenty of pretty faces, and handsome guys out there. Very few make it big in modeling. I personally would opt for a job with more security. The slightest visible flaw, and your career can come to a screeching HALT.

find out the right contacts. that's it. now to find the right contacts where there is a will there is a way. short cut is to enquire at an ad agency.

practice being a poser and get an agent, or a modeling teacher.
