okay guys, no offense....I live in an middle east country and working as a nurse in a labour room, i have always heard, women telling me; how they hoped their child would be fair and chubby and beautuiful,,,very rare, someone is heard praying for a healthy child{The main reason: Their husbands would easily get attracted to their other wives, if the children those wives bore were more beautiful than theirs...

Well I think that every woman thinks that her baby is beautiful regardless. I think that if I had to choose I would want my baby to be healthy but my daughter is absolutely gorgeous and I know that the baby in my tummy will be too. I think that if you actually think that your baby isn't beautiful that you have problems. What kind of mother are you.

Hands down the answer is healthy. While looks are obviously an important issue, I'd raise the child not to be so superficial as to value appearance above all else. If the child is raised correctly, (s)he will be socially well adjusted and that makes for a happy person. If looks are that much of a problem, (s)he has unlimited cosmetic options to change things. I prefer a healthy mind with a good foundation over the looks.

Who defines what a beautiful baby looks like? As a mother, you will always think your baby is beautiful no matter what other people think. Besides, beauty is within. I would perfer to have a healthy baby as everyone else but if something was wrong with my baby then that's something that me and my patner would have to deal with. God does everything for a reason. Pray and ask God to help you have a healthy baby.

I don't think this is a healthy question! Why on earth would someone want a "beautiful" baby over a healthy baby? If any one answers "beauty", they're an idiot and shouldn't deserve the honor of producing another life!

I'm not pregnant, but I have two kids. They are the most beautiful things in the world to me. Why in the world would anyone want to have a baby with health problems? What an odd question. Obviously you don't have children.

I'm not pregnant either but I have been. I wished for a healthy baby and got him. I knew that my child would be beautiful in my eyes - and he is!

While I'm not a pregnant woman, I have to ask:
"Is there even a choice?" I don't think anyone would rather have a cute, sick baby over a healthy, not amazingly beautiful baby.

I would have to say healthy and not so beautiful since when the baby is older and wishes to have things changed there is plastic surgery but to be unhealthy beautiful or not the doctors may not be able to help him or her and the beauty wouldnt matter since they could die.

anybody would want a healthy baby,what a wicked question.Looks dont come into it No I know I am not apregnant woman but perhaps you would like to work in a childrens hospital for a day and ask some of those parents this question
