Spend some time around Sentosa. There are various parks and sights to visit. Should last a day. Evening the musical fountain is nice. Then dinner at the waterfront. That should complete a nice day.

The other places will be the Singapore Zoo, Jurong Bird Park and if possible, Night Safari. These are world-class showcase.

Botanical Gardens, Changi Beach, Seletar Park, Orchard Road shopping, Sim Lim Square, etc these could take up some more time. Not to mention pub crawling along Boat Quay, Clarke Quay, Mohammad Sultan Road and Robertson Quay.

You can try the shopping malls in Orchard Road (there are in fact, a lot of shopping malls there) if your friend loves shopping. You can also try and check Suntec City Mall out - it's a really big mall and there are a lot of things to do there, including a lot of restaurants to dine at. You can bring your friend to Clarke Quay for a great dining experience as well. The Orchid Garden is a great place too, if she likes flowers and orchids.

The Night Safari is a really awesome place. You can eat there before you explore the safari (either on foot or on a tram). You could also buy some stuff there - souvenirs. You can also visit the Sentosa Island. Try the cable cars (there are two types, one is glass but it's more expensive than the normal one) going to the island - now, that's a great view! Once you're in Sentosa, i'm sure you won't have a hard time figuring out what to do since there are a lot of things to see and check out there. Have fun! :)

I agree with Samuel. The food there is super. That hawker has just completed the renovation. Much more airy and spacious.

Typical Zoo, Birdpark, Sentosa. . .

Go to the night safari and eat the bongo burgers!

Or, go to the new hawker center at Tiong Bahru.
