Some of the problems arise from the student's inability to understand the English language. Other problems are induced by a cultural dialect that the student refuses to shed. The largest problem in teaching English is not the teacher, but the rebellious student and the legalities of not being able to punish a student for being disruptive or rude. These name a few; I'm sure there are many more reasons.

grammaticla structure in english may be very different than the students' home language. often, learn english by trying to translate sentences from their own language to english and 'word by word' translation does not work.

The students don't think spelling, grammar and other rules are important, especially in their own language. They feel that "If you understand what I mean, it doesn't matter how I say it."
