While I agree with many of the opinions posted here - to varying degrees - I still require proof of the existence of extra-terrestrial life.

The odds are very good that aliens on another planet are more intelligent than us. We have only been around a blink on an eye when compare to the age of the rest of the universe. The chance that other civilizations have been around longer than us and are more intelligent just makes sense.

How can we not believe there to be other life in our universe, just the fact of us being here opens the imagination of questioning the origination of our existence and the possibility of other life elsewhere.
If life is made of particles, and particles are floating within our space-does that make them aliens? ;)
On January 3rd of every year we can see Quasi particles enter our atmosphere (check google as can't find now) but best seen on 3rd January. Does that make the shower of particles that entered our atmosphere ALIENS?
So with this in thought, aliens are already here
I just mentioned just one meteorite shower, but how many enter each year, who is to say these aren't the ones who are the true aliens

It is presumed aliens are super intelligent because they have more advanced technology, thus the more intelligent mind. Maybe the time travellers are just us coming back to try and help us to save humanity thus save themselves ;)

we have measured 12-15 billion light years. that means they could have been around 1-12 billion years before us. that is a hell of a lot of technological advancements compared to us. we are just simple life forms to them. an amusement to look at.
