Concerned about what? Your weight? Your age? Your pregnancy?

How tall are you? 15 st and 6ft, not such a problem, 15st and 4ft, bigger problem! I have attended women who were 20+st, babies and mothers fine. Make sure your midwife uses a large cuff to check your blood pressure though...that is important. While going on a weight loss diet is not appropriate during pregnancy, be aware of what you are eating...increase fruits and veg, whole grains and watch for empty calories. Cut out junk food, fried foods and alcohol. Walk and swim for exercise, check to see if there is an antenatal aquacise programme in your area.

You should have an opportunity to ask your midwife questions about your concerns at your booking visit, write them down before you go and don't worry about the questions seeming silly-they aren't.

All the best to you and enjoy your pregnancy.

I would have to say yes if you are talking about getting stoned!!! The first trimester is the most important whenit comes to development in your child. I am a mother of four, you should not take anything but what your doctor says is ok. if you are not wanting this child, you need to decide what you think is best. You do not want to be caring for a special needs child because you were too selfish to stop abusing when you found out you were pregnant. There are several agencies outthere that can help you with counciling and such. Good luck with your decision. ok, i just figured out what stones is. sorry to be so harsh. i was big with all my pregnancies. watch hat you eat and exercise and baby weight will come off. you'll be fine. good luck and enjoy your pregnancy:)

You'll be just fine. Pregnancy is a time when it is nearly impossible to control your weight. Best wishes
